How to control Keynote, PowerPoint and Google Slides from your iPhone
All three respond to the same keys a clicker sends. Your phone sends those keys too, and adds a real pointer for everything a clicker can't do.

Doing it from the phone
- On the free plan: letters and Space come from the Live keyboard, which is part of Essentials. That covers Space to advance in Keynote and PowerPoint, N and P in PowerPoint, and B for a black screen in all three. You can also set your one free Grid button to Right Arrow.
- With Full App: arrow keys and Esc are ready-made shortcut buttons. Better still, with Keynote or PowerPoint in front, tap “Grid for Keynote” (or PowerPoint) and fill that app's own Grid with Start, Next, Previous, Black and End. It appears by itself the moment the app is in front. For Google Slides, make the Grid for your browser.
- The pointer: click a link, play an embedded video or close a surprise dialog mid-talk by moving the pointer from the phone and tapping. In Keynote, C shows or hides the pointer.
- Switching to a demo: the Launcher and window switching move you from slides to a browser or app and back without walking to the laptop (Full App).
Pair once before the event, and use Bluetooth if the venue Wi-Fi keeps devices apart. Setup steps are in the iPhone as a mouse guide, and the Grid guide explains app-specific buttons.
