Terms of Use

These terms cover the free Control My Mac app for Mac and, once they are out, Control My PC for Windows and Control My PC for Android. Control My PC is on the way and not available yet; these terms apply to it from its release. If you got the iPhone or iPad app from the App Store, Apple’s standard licence applies to that app instead.

These terms are an agreement between you and Sebastian Apps (“we”) about the apps named above (together “the apps”). By installing or using the apps you agree to them.

1. What the apps do

The phone app controls your own computer: it moves the pointer, clicks, types and opens apps and windows through the free companion app you install on that computer. Use it only with computers you are allowed to control.

2. Licence

We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the apps on devices you own or control. You may not resell them, remove their notices, or use them to access a computer without permission.

3. Essentials and Full App

The Android phone app is free to use in its Essentials plan. Full App unlocks more controls and is offered as a weekly or yearly subscription or as a one-time lifetime purchase. The companion apps for Mac and Windows are free.

4. Subscriptions and payment

On Android, purchases are made through Google Play and charged to your Google Play account at the price shown before you confirm. A subscription may start with a free trial for new subscribers; after the trial it renews every week or every year, as chosen, at the price shown until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions; the subscription then ends at the close of the period already paid for. A lifetime purchase is paid once and does not renew. Buying lifetime does not cancel a running subscription, so cancel it yourself.

5. Refunds and withdrawal

Refunds are handled by Google Play under its refund policy. If the law of your country gives you a right to withdraw from a purchase of digital content, or a longer warranty, these terms do not limit it.

6. Your data

The apps have no account. What you type and do goes directly from your phone to your own computer over your local network or Bluetooth, and it is encrypted. Our Privacy Policy says the rest.

7. Changes to the apps

We may add, change or remove features. A lifetime purchase covers Full App as it exists in the version you can install; it is not a promise of future features.

8. No warranty beyond the law

The apps are provided as they are. They send input to your computer, so check what is on screen before you act, and do not rely on them where a mistaken click or key press could cause harm. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, or your rights as a consumer.

9. Ending

You can stop using the apps at any time by uninstalling them. We may end this licence if you break these terms.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the law of Slovenia. If you are a consumer in the EU, the mandatory consumer protection of your own country still applies.
