Control My Mac and its companion iPhone app let your iPhone act as a trackpad, mouse and keyboard for your Mac.

Summary

We do not run accounts or servers, and we do not collect your personal data. Your devices talk directly to each other over your local network or Bluetooth.

What we collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit personal information to us. Specifically:

• No account, no sign-in. The app works without registration.
• No analytics or tracking are included in the current version. If analytics or crash reporting are added later, this policy will be updated first and any data will be anonymised.
• Pairing and input data such as pointer movements, taps, scrolls, keystrokes you choose to send, and app-launch commands are sent directly from your iPhone to your paired Mac over your local network or Bluetooth. This data is used only to control your Mac in real time and is not sent to us or any third party.

Device permissions

The apps request only the permissions needed to function:

• Local Network to discover and connect to your Mac.
• Bluetooth as an alternative connection method.
• Camera on iPhone only to scan the pairing QR code, if you use that option. No photos or video are stored or transmitted.
• Accessibility and Automation on Mac so the Mac app can move the pointer and type on your behalf. This permission is used solely to carry out the actions you send from your iPhone.

You can revoke any of these permissions in your device settings at any time.

Purchases

Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details. Purchase and subscription management is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

Your rights

Because we do not collect personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on our side. Any data handled by Apple is governed by Apple's policies. For EU and UK users, your GDPR rights apply to Apple directly where Apple processes purchase data.

Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date above will change, and material updates will be highlighted in-app or on this page.
